Terms and Conditions

By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Terms and Conditions

1. Hire Period

Standard hire of IBIS Bins is for up to 4 weeks or until the bin is full, whichever comes first. If you require the bin for longer, additional hire charges may apply.

2. Usage of IBIS BINS / Waste Types

  • While the bin is in the customer’s possession, the following conditions apply:

  • Accepted Waste Types:

  • Renovation waste (e.g., timber, drywall).

  • Construction waste (large amounts of heavy materials should be avoided—please contact us if unsure. See section 9 for weight limits to avoid overloading).

  • General household waste.

  • Tree branches and recyclables (available on request—please contact us to confirm).

  • Prohibited Materials: The customer must not place liquids, explosive, toxic, dangerous, hazardous, or noxious materials into the bin. This includes, but is not limited to, polystyrene, asbestos, acids, solvents, minerals, gas bottles, tyres, food waste, wet paint, liquid concrete, and solar panels. If such materials are found, IBIS BINS reserves the right to refuse collection, and any additional disposal costs will be charged to the customer.

  • Fire Prohibition: No fires are to be lit in the bin.

  • Overfilling: Bins must not be filled higher than the top of the sides. Any overfilling may result in the refusal of collection or additional charges for safe disposal.

  • Bin Movement: Bins must not be moved without prior consent from IBIS BINS.

 3. Pricing

IBIS BINS provides transparent pricing for all bin rentals.
The prices for our services are those listed on the IBIS BINS website at the time you contact us to place your order, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by IBIS BINS. All prices include Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Our prices cover the cost of delivery and removal of bins. The quotes provided are based on the information you give us when you call. IBIS BINS reserves the right to adjust prices if the information provided is found to be incorrect.

Extra Charges & Disposal Guidelines

At IBIS BINS, we aim to keep pricing clear and fair. However, certain situations or items may result in additional charges. These include but are not limited to:

  • Mattresses: $100 each

  • Overweight bins: Charged at $220 per tonne (calculated proportionally)

  • Truck tyres: $150 each

  • Fire extinguishers or gas bottles: $100 each

  • Car tyres: $100 each

  • 4WD tyres: $100 each

  • Unsuccessful bin delivery or pickup (futile callout): $200

Please ensure that all waste is suitable for disposal and complies with our guidelines. If the bin contains prohibited materials or exceeds weight limits, we may invoice extra fees accordingly.

IBIS BINS reserves the right to determine these charges based on the contents and condition of the bin at pickup.

4. Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your bin rental, contact us at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery or collection. We aim to provide a flexible and hassle-free service, ensuring that your satisfaction comes first.

5. Satisfaction Guarantee

At IBIS BINS, we prioritize your satisfaction. If you're not completely satisfied with our service, please let us know. We will do our best to resolve any issues and ensure you have a positive experience.

6. Liability for Damage

Please be aware that IBIS BINS trucks are heavy vehicles. If our driver is directed off public roads or into areas where damage to private property (such as driveways, curbs, pavements, pipes, grass, etc.) may occur, IBIS BINS will not be held liable. It is important that suitable access points are available for the safe and secure delivery and pickup of bins.

7. Placement and Relocation of Bins

While we do our best to place the bin in your desired location, the final placement decision is at the discretion of our driver, ensuring safety and accessibility for both delivery and removal. If a bin relocation is needed, additional fees will apply, and these fees will be discussed when requested.

8. Contaminated Waste

If the waste in the bin is contaminated with prohibited materials or mixed waste types, the hirer is responsible for any separation costs or additional disposal fees. It is essential that all waste is accurately classified and separated to avoid unnecessary charges.

9. Weight Limits and Overloading

Strict weight limits apply to all bin rentals. If the bin is overloaded or deemed unsafe for transport, IBIS BINS reserves the right to refuse collection, and a futile pick-up fee may be applied. Daily hire charges will continue until the bin is safely collected.

10. Permits and Fines

If the bin is placed on public property (such as footpaths or roads), it is the responsibility of the hirer to obtain the necessary permits from local authorities. Any fines or penalties resulting from non-compliance with local regulations are the sole responsibility of the hirer.

11. Refund & Returns Policy

Once an order is confirmed, IBIS BINS begins processing immediately. Due to the immediate nature of our service, refunds cannot be offered for changes of mind after the order has been placed. A refund may be available for incorrect selection of booking. If the bin delivered is damaged or incorrect, IBIS BINS will arrange for return pickup and delivery and a replacement at no additional cost. Photographic evidence of any issues may be required to help improve our services.

12. Responsibility for Damage to Bins

The hirer is responsible for any damage, defacement, or loss of the bin while in their possession. IBIS BINS will not negotiate with third parties regarding recovery costs for any such damages. It is the hirer’s responsibility to take proper precautions to avoid additional charges.

13. Compliance with Laws and Safety Regulations

All bins must be loaded in compliance with the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and related regulations. Proper loading practices are required to ensure safe transportation and to prevent any material spillage during transit. IBIS BINS reserves the right to refuse collection or remove items that pose safety hazards or violate the terms outlined.
